The American Institute of Architects-Central Kentucky Chapter (AIA-CKC) is excited to announce that we are partnering with Habitat for Humanity to sponsor a LEED-Certified Home this summer. This blog is created to allow communication between AIA-CKC members and those interested in donating or helping out with the project. The AIA-CKC will continue to provide updates on the Site location, LEED certification, and the overall construction process from start to finish.

Bronze Sponsor: Charah
A special thanks to our repeat Bronze Sponsor: Charah! Based in Louisville, KY, Charah assists utilities with all aspects of managing and recycling ash byproducts generated from the combustion of coal in the production of electricity. They utilize coal combustion product(CCP) to improve many building materials, while creating both cost and environmental benefits. In addition, Charah designs, builds and operates CCP processing systems. Charah’s commitment to finding beneficial uses for CCPs is evident through its successful track record of marketing all types of CCPs. Charah can also assist customers in identifying and documenting the credits available to support LEED points for products that they supply to projects. We are excited to have them involved with us again this year!
